Beachside with The Bowley

I have totally fallen in love with my B&M Bowley from the guys at Southern Ukulele. Every time I jam on it I just love it more and more! Here’s a quick snap of yours truly strumming out a quick tune somewhere along the south coast.

One thing I miss about my life back in Australia is the beach. Just loading the car up with the boards early in the morning and cruising to the coast with a bunch of mates to check out the surf! Can’t beat it!

  1. I grew up on a beach in Florida and after all these years I still miss it. Glad you could find a beach there, even though it’s not quite the same.

Your ukulele is beautiful. It looks far too elegant to be a beach ukulele. 🙂

I’m glad to hear that you continue to fall more and more in love with it.

    • Haha yeah believe me the ukulele didn’t get any closer to the sand and water than this photo! No swimming this time either. It may have been pushing close to 30 degrees C in the sunshine but the water was icy cold, not like the warm waters of home!

  2. Well, Just what am looking for.A fellow southpaw ukulele player.I jus t bought my uke,and am all caN’T REALLY play anything yet. Do you have a DVD out with instructions on playing left handed, Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    • Cheers for the comment. I’ve sent you an email with some lefty tips, plus there’s a blog post coming about this in the next few days so check back again!

  3. Nice picture with the beach and ukulele… and I really like the print on your t-shirt.

  4. Thanks for the comment.

The shirt’s a Mauri print my parents sent me from New Zealand!
