As another wet weekend looms for us on this side of the pond, we’re all left wondering what’s happened to the Great British Summer! Apparently we’ve had the wettest, coldest and darkest couple of summer months for the last twenty years in England. This song should be the soundtrack of summer filled with lazy days and long, light evenings. Hopefully there’s some “summer vibe” still to come this year:

Sorry it’s been a little quiet on here for the past few weeks. I don’t really have any excuse other than just not really being around the computer all that much. We’ve had some sunshine (really?!?!) so I’ve been out on the bike a lot more getting some miles in. I’ll have to get a rack so I can take the uke with me, hehehe!
As a small token of apology, here’s a somewhat embarassing video of me trying to get a tune out of my recently purchased kazoo:
I have totally fallen in love with my B&M Bowley from the guys at Southern Ukulele. Every time I jam on it I just love it more and more! Here’s a quick snap of yours truly strumming out a quick tune somewhere along the south coast.
One thing I miss about my life back in Australia is the beach. Just loading the car up with the boards early in the morning and cruising to the coast with a bunch of mates to check out the surf! Can’t beat it!
So I’m just sitting here at home, propped up on the open first floor window ledge watching the world go by. It’s a bright summery evening and a cool breeze is gently tickling the trees in the field opposite my house.
The walkers are out enjoying the trails, the sweet smokey aroma of mid-week barbeques hangs in the air. There’s a tall glass of ice cold Kopparberg by my side and my trusty ukulele on my lap. I’ve been casually strumming away to myself for around three hours now.

Welcome to my blog, brand new and bouncing!
One of a billion other blogs floating across the world wide web… But I hope you stick around and continue to check it out. This is my place and you are always welcome here! I’ll just be thowing around my random thoughts about life, living, being left handed and my forays into playing the ukulele.
I guess my posts here will mainly be about playing the ‘ol jumping flea. I’m no expert, just love the underdog of the instrument world. Oh and before I go remember; the sun is always shining with a ukulele in your hand!
I’ll hit this page with more (less boring) updates shortly I promise!
EDIT: Oh and for those who followed my old blog and have suddenly been redirected to here don’t worry it’s no mistake. Blogspot was annoying me so I decided to start totally fresh with WordPress!
